Whole-home surge protection

Power strips protect one plug. A whole-home surge protective device (SPD) mounts at your panel and clamps surges before they reach anything — HVAC boards, appliances, TVs, computers, EV chargers and everything else wired into your home.

The install

We fit a properly rated Type 2 SPD at your main panel — usually about an hour of work — and verify your grounding while we're in there, because a surge protector is only as good as the ground it dumps into.

Commercial and three-phase

Three-phase surge protection for commercial panels, switchgear and equipment is the same idea at a larger scale, and it is protecting a lot more than a television. These devices carry a status light per phase and a counter that logs how many surge events they have already taken. That matters, because an SPD that has done its job for years can be sitting there worn out with nobody the wiser — the equipment keeps running, the protection does not. If you have SPDs on site and nobody has looked at them, we will check the status indicators and tell you which modules are still good.
