When the power goes out in Houston it is rarely convenient and it is rarely brief. A standby generator starts on its own, carries the circuits you chose ahead of time, and hands the house back to the utility when the street comes up — with nobody standing outside in the rain with a cord.

We work out what you actually want running — the whole house, or the circuits that matter: AC, kitchen, well pump, medical equipment, the home office. Oversizing costs money and undersizing costs you the thing you bought it for.

A standby generator is a small engine that sits outside in Houston heat and humidity for months without being asked to do anything, and then is asked to do everything. Oil, filters, plugs, the battery, the transfer switch contacts — it needs the same attention as anything else with an engine in it.
We service and repair standby generators whether or not we installed them, and whether or not they are Generac. If you have a unit out of warranty that the dealer who sold it will not come out for, that is exactly the call we take.

Our 24-hour service department is real. If your generator fails during an outage, that is not a Monday morning problem.
We are an authorized Generac dealer, and Generac is the brand most people come to us already asking for. It is the biggest name in standby power for good reason and we install a lot of them.
But if you ask us what we like, we will tell you we rate Kohler. They are good units. We will happily put one in.
We also install and service Cummins and Briggs & Stratton. We are not a dealer for Kohler, Cummins or Briggs & Stratton — we source, install and service them, which matters more than it sounds like it should. A shop that only carries one brand has to turn away the unit in your yard if it is the wrong one. We do not. If you have an out-of-warranty generator of almost any make and you cannot get anyone to look at it, call us.
Standby power on a commercial building is a different problem: a bigger unit, a bigger gas or diesel supply, a transfer scheme that has to match how the building is actually fed, and a shutdown window that has to be planned around a business that is trying to stay open.
