Worth checking early. A generator sized for the whole house needs the gas supply to match, and not every meter and service out here is sized for a standby unit on top of the furnace, the range, the water heater and the pool heater. If the supply needs upsizing, that is a conversation with the gas utility and it belongs at the start of the job rather than the end.
